Ashley Monroe

Ashley Monroe is an American country singer and songwriter. After the release of two singles as well as an album called Satisfied in 2007, she formed a band named Pistol Annies with Angaleena Presley and Miranda Lambert and released her second album, titled Like a Rose in 2013. Ashley Monroe works as the Village Manager Assistant in Riverside Illinois. With over fifteen years' working experience, she's worked in various positions within the public sector, including five years spent in Iowa City's city manager position as Deputy. She is currently the Assistant Village manager and holds a wide range of responsibilities that include overseeing the Community Development and Building Department as well as overseeing grant applications and other special projects. Ashley is in charge of the daily operations at Riverside Village while also implementing the strategy and vision of elected officials. Ashley has held a variety of roles previously, such as the planning of municipal services and communication for government budgeting personnel management collective bargaining as well as focusing on climate change initiatives. Ashley has gained invaluable insight through working with national organisations as well as work in diverse communities.
